Our dedicated alumni understand the lifelong value of their Punahou education, and many express a desire to pay it forward. This spirit of service to their communities, each other and the School is demonstrated in many ways. Punahou alumni give of their time, talents and through monetary gifts.
Alumni and Reunion Giving
Alumni volunteers on reunion class committees work year-round to create a memorable Alumni Week for classmates. Volunteers organize class activities, solicit class gifts and help find lost classmates. Alumni also help the school through consistent giving both during and outside of reunion years. Reunion class gifts have supported building campaigns, financial aid, professional development and everyday operation of the school.
Mentoring and Networking
Membership in the Punahou Alumni Community is lifelong. Whether informally or through programs like Punahou Connect, alumni mentor and network with others in the community to provide job and internship opportunities, career advice and introductions. Events like the Punahou Alumni Healthcare Spotlight, Lawyers’ Lunch, PAA Speaker Series talks and MIT Blast Off have provided alumni opportunities to connect professionally with both current students and other alumni.
Volunteerism and Leadership
Some alumni are inspired to give back through participation in on-campus events like Punahou Carnival or as class correspondents for the Punahou Bulletin. Others volunteer with Punahou Alumni Association by holding leadership positions with regional chapters in Hawai‘i, the continental U.S. and Asia.
